Acceptable Use Policy
Guidelines for acceptable use of our services
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules and guidelines for using Accelory's services, including the Seto platform (useseto.com) and accelory.net (collectively, the "Services"). This policy supplements our Terms of Service.
All users, team members, and API consumers must comply with this AUP.
2. Permitted Use
Our Services are designed for legitimate event management purposes, including:
- Planning and coordinating events (corporate, social, and community).
- Managing guest lists, invitations, RSVPs, and dietary requirements.
- Organising seating arrangements and check-in workflows.
- Sending event-related communications to invited guests.
- Analysing event performance and attendee engagement.
3. Prohibited Activities
You must not use our Services to:
3.1 Unlawful Conduct
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Process personal data without a lawful basis or appropriate consent.
- Facilitate money laundering, fraud, or financial crimes.
3.2 Harmful Content
- Upload, store, or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or discriminatory.
- Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
- Host or link to phishing content.
3.3 Spam and Unsolicited Communications
- Send bulk unsolicited messages (spam) through our invitation or messaging features.
- Use our Services to harvest email addresses or other contact information.
- Send messages to individuals who have not been invited to or associated with a legitimate event.
3.4 System Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without authorisation.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
- Circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or other technical restrictions.
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Services without prior written consent.
3.5 Misrepresentation
- Impersonate another person, organisation, or Accelory employee.
- Create fake events or fraudulent guest lists.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
3.6 Data Misuse
- Use guest data collected through Seto for purposes unrelated to the event for which it was collected.
- Sell, rent, or distribute guest personal data to third parties.
- Retain guest data beyond what is necessary for the event purpose.
4. Guest Data Responsibilities
As an event organiser using Seto, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have a lawful basis to collect and process guest personal data.
- Providing guests with appropriate privacy notices about how their data will be used.
- Responding to data subject access requests from your guests.
- Deleting guest data when it is no longer needed for the event purpose.
5. API Usage
If you access our Services via the API, you must additionally:
- Comply with all documented rate limits and usage guidelines.
- Secure your API keys and not share them publicly.
- Not use the API to build a competing service.
- Include appropriate attribution where required by your plan terms.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to:

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
7. Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Issue a warning for a first or minor violation.
- Temporarily suspend access for repeated or serious violations.
- Permanently terminate accounts for severe or ongoing violations.
- Report illegal activities to the appropriate authorities.
We aim to act proportionately and will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the violation where reasonable.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
